Do you want to know how to shift? Here are the 5 steps you need to take.

Many people claim to have shifted into a reality in which they are a Hogwarts student with the ability to use magic and fly on broomsticks; the sky is the limit in terms of where you can shift to.

You already shift between parallel realities billions of times per second. That is what keeps things moving in life.

As a result, it is more of a technique that you must master than a “power” that you must acquire.

Keep on reading to discover how to shift realities for beginners in 5 simple steps.

What is Shifting? Reality Shifting Explained

Shifting Reality is a Tik Tok trend in which people use their consciousness to travel to other realities while their bodies remain in the current reality.

Shifting is the act of intentionally or unintentionally shifting your consciousness to a specific reality.

It is based on the multiverse theory, which states that all realities exist concurrently in the present.

Every second of every day, we are constantly shifting to new realities. Every choice we make propels us into a new reality.

So, how do you shift?

How to Shift Realities

Shifting is a simple process.

But because of how we were raised, people tend to overcomplicate or perceive shifting as intimidating.

Shifting is an alien concept to most people, so it’s understandable that people discovering it in their teen/adult years will find it difficult to believe.

Shifting is determined by one’s belief and intent. To shift successfully, you must believe in shifting and intend to shift to a new reality.

As previously stated, we are constantly shifting, and yet none of us seem to notice; however, when we consider shifting to our DR, we become intimidated and begin to doubt the existence of shifting.

There are four main components when it comes to shifting:

  • Shifting Script.
  • Meditation.
  • Affirmations and/or Subliminals.
  • Shifting Method.

Affirmations are a great way to shift. They are simple to perform and can serve as a substitute for visualization for people who can’t visualize.

When we say affirmations over and over, we are teaching our subconscious that what we are saying is true to our reality.

Our subconscious begins to believe that we are in our desired reality when we repeat affirmations like “I am in my desired reality.”

Here’s a great post on affirmations that goes into more detail and includes a list of affirmations.

Without further ado, here are the 5 simple steps to shift to your desired reality.

1. Create a Script

A lot of people like creating a “script”.

“Scripting” is a self-explanatory term. It’s the script of your desired reality! A script is basically who you are, where you are, what your situation is, and so on.

Scripting is an important aspect of reality shifting, especially for beginners. While it is not required, many people believe that creating a detailed script of one’s desired reality can greatly aid the process.

Many people have shifted into their desired realities without having to write a script.

However, if you’re having difficulty shifting realities or you are a beginner at shifting, incorporating a script into your shifting routine can be extremely beneficial.

A lot of people do like to script because it helps them get a clear focus on what they’re getting into.

Here’s how to script for shifting.

You are free to be as detailed or as brief as you like. It is critical, however, that you write your script in the present tense.

This basically tricks your brain into believing that what you’ve written happened, making it easier to shift.

Most people write their script in the first person, detailing what happens in their DR as if it happened in real life. This helps with the visualization part of shifting.

2. Meditate.

meditate

Almost every shifting guide or video suggests that you meditate before shifting.

Why is that?

Staying calm and relaxed is an important part of being able to shift.

Meditating is extremely beneficial when it comes to shifting because it raises your vibration, calms you down, and clears your mind, allowing you to shift successfully.

If you have a lot of distracting thoughts or have trouble focusing on your shifting methods, this can be extremely beneficial to practice.

The main goal of meditating before shifting is to silence your wandering thoughts and calm the mind.

Personally, I find that meditating and relaxing my body and mind before beginning a shifting method brings me closer to shifting than not meditating.

Here’s a detailed guide on how to meditate for shifting.

Begin with 5 minutes per day and gradually increase the time as you become more comfortable.

3. Choose a Shifting Method.

There are numerous methods that people have invented in order to visualize their DR, some of which require you to fall asleep in order to work, while others do not.

These are called sleep methods and non-sleep methods.

The most popular methods in the shifting community is the Raven method, the Julia method, and the Pillow method.

I’ve written a post that lists the 15 best shifting methods and explains how to use each one; you should read it.

There are also some methods that don’t require any visualization, if you struggle with visualizing your DR.

Doing a specific method helps you stay focused on shifting because you follow a step-by-step guide.

Some methods include reciting affirmations, listening to Theta waves or subliminals, and laying in a particular position.

I recommend experimenting with different methods until you find the one that works best for you.

But, in the end, you shouldn’t be overly concerned with which method you’ll use. Shifting is unique to each individual; one method may work well for one person but not so well for another.

You can mix and match the methods to create your own method that works best for you.

Also, you don’t need any methods in order to shift to your desired reality.

A method is just a useful tool, not a requirement for shifting.

4. You Experience Symptoms.

you-experience-symptoms

When you’re trying to shift, certain symptoms will alert you that you’re almost there.

Signs and symptoms are hints or indicators that you are about to shift.

Some of these symptoms include:

  • feeling weightless or heavy,
  • tingling,
  • spinning or falling,
  • hearing voices or sounds related to your DR,
  • seeing flashes of light, and so on.

Not everyone will experience the same symptoms, if any at all. Many people have shifted without experiencing any shifting symptoms.

But when you notice these symptoms, it’s critical that you stay calm and concentrate on your visualizations/senses.

Don’t freak out if you think you’ve shifted!

Yes, shifting for the first time is the best feeling in the world, but getting too excited can send you back to your current reality.

The last thing you want is to feel the symptoms and then become overly excited, and wake up.

Simply note that you are experiencing these symptoms and try to keep them in the back of your mind as you keep your attention on your method.

5. You Enter your Desired Reality.

you-enter-your-dr

As previously stated, some of the shifting methods require you to sleep in order to work, while others require you to stay awake.

Obviously, if you use a sleep method before bed, you will wake up inside your DR.

When it comes to awake methods, however, it can be a little trickier to know when you’ve made it.

When should you let your eyes open?

One common strategy for figuring this out is to script your eyes to open automatically when you’ve successfully shifted.

Others script that they smell a specific scent, such as mint or cinnamon, when they’ve shifted.

Instead of guessing and potentially opening your eyes too soon, you’ll know for sure when you’ve shifted with this tip.

And there you have it, you should be in your desired reality by now!

Is reality shifting safe?

I’ve actually answered this question before in a previous post.

The short answer is yes. Aside from being mentally taxing for the person attempting to shift, shifting realities is a completely safe practice.

Attempting to shift causes no physical stress to your body, but some people are concerned about the practice’s mental consequences.

It may, however, become addictive, or it may be used compulsively as a distraction to deflect attention away from their current reality.

Finally, they may conflate dissociation and this practice.

There is a fear that they will not seek help, or that people who are displaying symptoms of mental illness will ignore them because the symptoms and experiences in shifting realities are similar.
