Air Fryer Apple Fritters With Glaze

Make delicious gluten-free air fryer apple fritters with a sweet glaze. This easy recipe is perfect for a quick, healthier dessert or snack, combining a crispy texture with warm, spiced apple goodness. No deep frying needed.

Ingredients
  

Apples

  • 3 large granny smith apples, peeled, cleaned, diced

Dry ingredients

  • 1 ½ cup almond flour
  • cup light brown sugar
  • 1-2 tsp cinnamon
  • ¼ tsp ground nutmeg
  • ¼ tsp ground cloves
  • 2 tsp baking powder
  • 1 tsp vanilla paste
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 4 tbsp cold butter

Wet ingredients

  • 2 large eggs
  • ¼ cup milk
  • 1 ½ tsp vanilla paste (or 2 tsp vanilla extract)

Glaze

  • 1 cup Powdered sugar
  • 2 tbsp milk (more if needed)

Instructions
 

Apple Fritters

  • Preheat air fryer to 400 degrees
  • In a bowl, mix together dry ingredients
  • In a separate bowl, gently beat eggs. Then, stir in vanilla paste
  • Add wet ingredients to the dry ingredients and gently mix. If batter is too thick, thin with more milk.
  • Fold in apples
  • Add parchment paper to air fryer
  • Use a spoon or scooper to spoon out large heaping apple fritters into the air fryer basket
  • Spray tops with coconut oil spray
  • Cook for 4 minutes, then gently turn over and spray tops again
  • Allow to cool on wire rack and then glaze (place parchment paper under wire rack)

Glaze

  • Add 2 tbsp milk to powdered sugar.
  • Stir until smooth
  • Add milk to thin glaze as needed for preference
  • Granish with pecans or peanuts
