Air Fryer Apple Fritters With Glaze
Make delicious gluten-free air fryer apple fritters with a sweet glaze. This easy recipe is perfect for a quick, healthier dessert or snack, combining a crispy texture with warm, spiced apple goodness. No deep frying needed.
Apples
- 3 large granny smith apples, peeled, cleaned, diced
Dry ingredients
- 1 ½ cup almond flour
- ⅓ cup light brown sugar
- 1-2 tsp cinnamon
- ¼ tsp ground nutmeg
- ¼ tsp ground cloves
- 2 tsp baking powder
- 1 tsp vanilla paste
- 1 tsp salt
- 4 tbsp cold butter
Wet ingredients
- 2 large eggs
- ¼ cup milk
- 1 ½ tsp vanilla paste (or 2 tsp vanilla extract)
Glaze
- 1 cup Powdered sugar
- 2 tbsp milk (more if needed)
Apple Fritters
Preheat air fryer to 400 degrees
In a bowl, mix together dry ingredients
In a separate bowl, gently beat eggs. Then, stir in vanilla paste
Add wet ingredients to the dry ingredients and gently mix. If batter is too thick, thin with more milk.
Fold in apples
Add parchment paper to air fryer
Use a spoon or scooper to spoon out large heaping apple fritters into the air fryer basket
Spray tops with coconut oil spray
Cook for 4 minutes, then gently turn over and spray tops again
Allow to cool on wire rack and then glaze (place parchment paper under wire rack)
Glaze
Add 2 tbsp milk to powdered sugar.
Stir until smooth
Add milk to thin glaze as needed for preference
Granish with pecans or peanuts
